Eastbourne Saturday and some odds

Postby russpa » Wed Nov 06, 2019 12:34 am

Wealdstone 2/5

Draw 7/2

Eastbourne 6/1

Wealdstone now around 5/6 for the title

Big game is Havant v Slough in the league, A stones win and is a possibility to be 9 points clear now that would be nice Of course so many permutations come 445pm Saturday.

Eastbourne with 38 year old Sergio Torres standing in as player/ manager after A management change due to budget restrictions.
They have had two creditable results holding Hemel away to 1 v 1 and same at home to Weymouth they have also had a couple of heavy defeats

But make no mistake it will be a tough game they have creditable draws in the league AWAY to Havant , Maidstone , Hemel and Bath this season.

Players back in the squad include Clifford and Mendy and with Ross Lafayette and Michael Philips a couple of weeks away from fitness come the FAT in 2 weeks time we could have a strong fit squad with a bit of luck and no more injuries.

Danny Green just one booking away from 5 and so is around another few weeks before the 5 game cut off point is reached as for the rest of the squad just 3 bookings or less with the exception of Billy Clifford 5 and Connor Stevens now on 6 both who have served their game ban.

Our record against Eastbourne at home is a disgrace. They've usually been in total control of the game too.

Needs to be put right on Saturday.

Hopefully our new attacking ethos will put this one to bed.

I think all the times we've played Eastbourne at home this is probably our best opportunity to win. Top of league, Eastbourne is poor form and in crisis it seems like a foregone conclusion. Still with a record of P4 L4 at home against them it won't be an easy game.

We've actually played them 5 times at home being pedantic. Have drawn one and lost the last four. However, agree that this might be our best chance to beat them at home. UTS

All a bit low key re tomorrow...

Time to show that what we have seen previously is no fluke. Stones to win by 2 in front of circa 850 punters (including 25 from Sussex). :?
