Evans Kouassi (28) signed from Northwood according to

Hopefully we've paid a big fee and got him on a long term big bucks contract.

Seems an odd one signing a player that age from that level.

Has pace so might be Eisa's replacement when he leaves in January, also if mr Pratt arrives from Chippenham he also has pace, lots of forwards at present!

Has certainly been around a few clubs..

Gives Bobby another attacking option, but who knows, perhaps he may be the perfect foil for our other attack- minded players and slots right in.
As others have said on here, I would like to see a strong defender signed as a priority.

Good to see a choice of attacking options because we still don't score enough goals in my opinion, but more than anything we need to get in 2 new full backs because I see us as weak in those positions and it just can't continue.

I think we need to look at quality rather than quantity when it comes to our strikers.

Evans above his level? (just for Guv)

A couple of typical Northwood match reports on their website featuring Evans Kouassi...

http://www.northwoodfc.com/reports-2017 ... ell-A.html

http://www.northwoodfc.com/reports-201718/Barton-A.html

And for our fans who remember our times groundsharing at Edgware & Northwood, a sobering look at the current Evostick Southern League, Eastern division table.
We used to play regularly against most of those teams.....

http://www.northwoodfc.com/league-table.html

And from our main website's match report of our last game v Bishops Stortford (a 5-0 home win)

"Despite Wealdstone’s dominance the visitors almost grabbed a goal. Evans Kouassi cut inside and placed a cross to Sam Ford, Jonathan North was beaten but Ciaron Brown got across quick enough to block his goal bound effort."

And from our Press Officer's tweet:

Bobby Wilkinson commented tonight with regard to Evans Kouassi : "Evans has been training with us for a month now and we are looking at him to see whether he can progress into the squad"

EDIT: Will our new strike force get a chance of game on Saturday v Bishop's Stortford in the Trophy?
Rain is forecast for today, then blustery winds for Thursday/Friday ...will that be enough to first clear the snow off the pitch and then dry the pitch out?

The reports reminded me that we still have Jermain Osei squirreled away somewhere on loan or dual registration. Came on in one game as a sub for 15 minutes or so and never been seen since.

I'll wager Kouassi never starts a game in the Connie South.

It still hasn't been confirmed that Pratt has signed has it ?
