New gate and pitchside fence funded through WFCSC

Postby Whatmough » Wed Dec 13, 2017 9:27 pm

After last night's WFCSC committee meeting I am delighted to announce that WFCSC are funding a replacement improved access gate at the top of the ground plus new fencing to replace the toblerone style barriers. The gate is currently being manufactured and should be installed in January and weather dependant the fencing should start next week.

The committee is committed to fund raising for WFC and alongside our main annual donation of £5000 to the main club we are always looking to improve / enhance the Vale for supporters. Last month we paid to replace the roof on the filming gantry and have also purchased a full team within the Stand Up For Wealdstone fundraising initiative this season.

We will also be looking to use proceeds from our dinner on 8th February with Stuart Pearce for further ground improvements so book up now! We could not have done this without the help of supporters whether this be by the committee, helpers at events or people purchasing items from the Megastore or Golden Goals. At the end of the day we want to do more but we are limited by people that are willing to volunteer. If you think that you can add something or want to give something back then please speak to Nick or myself (or send a pm using this forum).

Well done to the SC. Keep up the good work.

Great news guys and gals. Be interesting to see how high the fence is though, to act as a deterrent and yet not be too high to restrict front row visibility.
The 60th anniversary should be a great night. Get yourself on a table quick!
