Why does the touch paper always have to be blue? Why can't it be blue and white quarters?

Every time there is a discussion about New kit on this forum almost inevitably someone :

A: wants/prefers the Blue & White quarters.

B: winds people up by suggesting a red kit.

then C:

Kit Man eventually has his say which usually pleases no one.

I will add my two penethworth in support of Blue & White Quarters, even though it won't be chosen as the third kit will have to be different colours from the first and second kits (obviously).
As a compromise though, Black & White quarters would be nice.

I thought the black n white hoops, black shorts, that the Stones wore through the WW1 years would have been a good 3rd kit. It would have been a nod to those that didn't come back and Macron do an off the peg that's very similar. The only fly in that ointment is that we have a white 2nd kit. Shame. :(

I know I started this thread, which I have been told is stirring, but does it matter what kit we play in as long as we gain promotion?

Just because you come from Wealdstone it doesn't mean you are a horrible b*stard - it's just considerably more likely that you are.

We won the league in 2014 with a home kit that seemed to upset a few fans. Bollocks to 'em.

I couldn't care less what the kit is like but I wouldn't advise much red!

On reflection the 1985 kit wasn't the best and we even changed to our more traditional all blue for the Trophy Final.
