Nick Dugard Resigns

Postby Ally » Fri Oct 05, 2018 12:52 pm

I would like to thank Nick Dugard for all the fabulous work that he has done for the club over the many years he has been involved. And wish him all the best in his new role. Hopefully we will still see him around at Wealdstone.

One of the nicest guys I ever met at Wealdstone, alway approached me with a welcoming smile.
Thanks for everything Nick, and good luck.

Second the above sentiments.
Blimey, how many of the old board are left now?
Seems like the end of an era...

I have known Nick all the many years he has been associated with the Club, and remember well the time when we both served on the Supporters Club Committee together.
I fully endorse the message posted above from Matteo in Italy.

Indeed an enduring stalwart who has dedicated hours upon hours of time and expertise to the club. Thanks for your efforts Nick.

Will he be replaced I wonder? The GM is a demanding role. One of which requires a number of skills and crucially requires you to operate in an environment of vested interests and interpersonal conflict. You will also need to be a good at influencing people. Its not an easy role to fulfil. I'd like to think we can find a budding youngster to fill the press role though.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.
