It didn't really have the feel of a big FA Cup game to be honest, a very sparse home crowd with all the enthusiasm of a man walking to the gallows. Our turn out was ok but at least those that did attend got behind the team today so a big improvement from the fans. As for the game difficult to disagree with much of what has been said, we controlled the majority of the play but again the same old issue of carelessness/wastefulness in possession which allowed Hungerford hope when really they should have had none. I never felt they would score and it was only at 2-0 when possibly we relaxed a bit that they scored from out of the Blue. Shomotun of course was the difference and he provides the cutting edge which we've so badly missed this season at times. Poku and Ahmidi do a good job in the middle but they are of course both holding players in essence. BHO and Monakana have both showed flashes this season but are not consistent enough whereas Green just added another to his long list of ineffective games today. I'm not sure what would have happened today without Shomotun and thats a big worry. I'm happy with our strength, work rate and organisation so a good base to work from. However our creativity is now becoming a real problem which time won't heal so BW is going to have to wheel and deal a bit to make a change or two in that area because its just not happening. Still another 15k in the bank and into the hat on Monday. A lot of Connie South sides left in it and with the Southern National sides entering our half of the draw we'll do well to get a gimme. At this stage you just have to hope for a home draw and just take it from there.
