Pretty certain that we played a pre-season friendly there in 1981. Won about 5-0 and I remember that one of their subs played in Dunlop Green Flash tennis shoes.

Just to show my complete ignorance re Railway travel, would someone kindly answer this query:
I have a Freedom Pass that will take me as far as Surbiton en route to Woking.
If I buy a return ticket on-line from Surbiton to Woking for just £7.30, is it ok for a train from Waterloo that does not stop at Surbiton?

Strictly speaking the answer is the train needs to stop at Surbiton for the ticket to be valid. See details on the split ticketing site below:

https://www.splitticketing.com/How_Not_ ... ckets.html

However it is unlikely your ticket will be checked on that route and if it is just plead ignorance and you should be OK.

Worth keeping an eye on this thread, Woking fans allegedly looking for aggro on Saturday.

Ah yes, they seem well informed, a 73 year old was assaulted on the pitch apparently. According to the 73 year old. And Dowse. And Ian Ridley. And no one else.

Our History against Woking since 1964 is
Played 19 times
Won 11
Draw 3
Loss 5

Before our game against them in August, we had not met since the London Senior Cup in 1980. Not sure how that works with Woking being in Surrey.

I'm going for a draw in this game against 2nd placed Woking who sit just 1 point behind Torquay.
