Seems like yesterday but now 34 years ago since that great day at Wembley.

Times have definitely changed, we now celebrate reaching semi finals.

It was a long time ago and the level of football a bit different back then. I wonder how a 'then and now' comparison as far as ground grading requirements, average team budgets etc would look? One thing that is certain is that the Conference National is now heavily populated with ex league clubs, some of whom were in the 'old division two' at some point in their history. Then again, a handful of ex 1980s Conference National clubs are doing well in the football league today. I'll say it again but that has to be our vision, to get as high as possible no matter the challenges.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.

We celebrate reaching them but we don’t celebrate losing them.

Reaching semi finals is not something you can put on the honours board and in the case of one of them we didn't even turn up when a trip to Wembley was the prize.
