WFCSC BBQ this Saturday

Postby Whatmough » Mon May 13, 2019 7:57 pm

Good Evening All

Three BBQ's down this season with £2500 raised for the club and our next opportunity to add to this comes on Saturday with our now seasoned regulars Man City visiting.

With a 1700 kick off and the first fans getting to the ground around 1130 - 1200 we are looking for help to keep for the day session and from around 1900 on wards for the evening session. If anyone can spare a couple of hours here or there that would be fantastic. Please reply below if you can help.

Also a heads up for the weekend after when there is a good chance that we will have visiting teams for the Play Off Finals.

Should we be cheering on Villa and Sunderland over the next 48 hours then?

... Not too loudly though, in case we get someone else instead.

Ah, that blew your cover. ;)
See you soon.

PS. Any volunteers to help for the odd hour or two would be very welcome. Need not involve cooking!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped out over the last two weeks with the visit of City, Sunderland and Villa. These days really bring out the best that we have to offer as a club and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Over these three days we raised another £2500 which will go to the main club in return for shares. Our next BBQ is looking likely to be the GB match in July and after that it's the Community Shield in August.

Not a bad result. Pays almost half the squad for more than half a week
Special shout out to Mim for putting in unplanned overtime.
That was very hard work. Maybe because the barbecue caught fire a couple of times and often looked likely to turn into the "Game of Thrones" finale if I flipped more than 2 burgers consecutively. I can't work out why that happened.
I whistled through the double header last year, but really struggled last weekend.
Probably should have shirked out. Too many personal problems to deal with.
I'm outta here for the summer. See ya at Citeh... if I'm not in the Scrubs. Or back in Phibsborough.

Edit: ...and "No" - I have never watched "Game of Thrones". Even I'm not that sad.
