He's obviously had a tough time personally so wish him all the best.

Not everyone's cup of tea but at least he would front up and take ownership - the youth pricing fiasco he took responsibility for. Unlike others who havent done so, for example Hemelgate.

I look forward to seeing him at the Vale again.

Probably what Rory was referring to as well when he mentioned they were down to 4 on the board in his recent interview.

Understandable that JP has not been around for a while.

Hopefully those people that had a pop at JP for not being around will now desist. Can understand totally why he feels that he doesn’t necessarily want to be involved as before. As Jon says, hopefully he will still come to matches.

Fairly obvious that Rory will need to expand the board back to around 6 members. Running with four is a hell of an ask on the present guys. However, those who are invited onto the board need to be able to contribute something meaningful, whether it be money, expertise and equally importantly time. Strategic finesse and leadership is not for everyone so only the very best need apply. Could probably do with some 'outsiders' and local businessman types here. Just my own opinion but there possibly needs to be an 'operations committee' to assist the above in the less strategic matters. We've some good, capable people at the club so the latter could probably be filled internally.

Wish Jon P all the best and hopefully we will see him at the club at some point.
