NATIONAL LEAGUE CANCELLED

For all things Wealdstone FC

The last day of the season if finally here - 17th June.

Massive day for Wealdstone, biggest for a generation +

Confident the vote will pass because not to would be to downgrade non-league to BB+ junk status imo - barely worthy of investment. It would pull up the drawbridge with the EFL.

Realistically I can only see Chorley, Ebbsfleet and Fylde voting against it. There may be one or two other dissenters but on what basis? I've scoured the internet for some kind of organised plot and there isn't one this time around. Ebbsflleet very quiet and only Fylde chairman has said something publicly but even that was out of date - referring to a vote at the weekend (which didn't happen). There are concerns about the cost of the playoffs too but York & Havant (the most vocal) got what they wanted. Ratification by the FA is not a concern at all - they'll have seen and approved the framework - that is just an admin thing.

How will we find out today and thus crack open the bubbles? Well, we hope news emerges from a high quality source asap but perhaps shortly after 5pm. You could certainly follow our Chairman @fitzgerald77 and @Ollie_Bayliss or perhaps @Iandennisbbc

What a birthday present it would be for DB too.

Up the Stones!

It doesn't sound as though we'll hear anything today.

Whatever the outcome it has to be passed to the FA for ratification so who knows when it will be announced.

It drags on and on and on.

We should do Guv - why hold onto the information any longer than is necessary? They need to crack on, there's much to be done. League 2 playoffs tomorrow, Championship restart on Sat, so clearly non-league need to get on with it. I wouldn't worry about the 102 member FA Council meeting in late June, its the vote today that really counts. The FA had to ratify the EFL decisions too and that proved no stumbling block. FA involved with this from the get go.

Apparently it has to be ratified by the fa council, then ok’d by the Efl,then given the green light by the premier league, then passed by the government, then rubber stamped by Boris, then open for objection to anyone not happy about the result. Just [SwearFilter] sort it.

Ffs...we know that that FA have to ratify, all 100 plus blazers, but will the National make the Poll result known at close of voting today?

If they make the poll result public, or we hear from our Chairman, that will be good enough for me.

I won't bother to wait for The Ghost of Turvey Blazer Brigade to get out of their leather armchairs to celebrate.

Surely they'll have to, so that clubs can prepare for any play-offs?

Rule 323 - Subsection 5a....decrees no decision can be made on the outcome of a season if you are within 5 days of the summer solstice. Therefore....all results are to be declared Harold Lloyd!!!
