Surprised at one or two of them being retained but DB needs to be trusted here. Every one of these players is a good footballer and capable of stepping up ability wise. Just think we need to add some ooomph to the squad now.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.

Of course we will have to add to the squad and not all will be retained due to transfers or the inability to agree terms. We already know that Brennan is seeking players via public pronouncements in line with available budget. Whilst the existing squad is excellent this is a big step up and needs a different type of player in some areas.
Cynicism and negativity is an easy and popular trait that is fed by failure. Success derives from someone, somewhere, being positive. Try it.

Conversation in the Morris household (ever the pessimists here) turned to those whose names aren't on the retained list. Not at all doubting DB (he managed to get to Spain and back in a Ford Fiesta after all), and not saying I'm happy / disappointed by it, but 2 of notable names from last year not included in Moses Emmanuel and Golden Boot winner Rossco.

Particularly if we suspect Dennon might be poached at some point in the summer higher up the leagues maybe a touch surprising some experience and goals haven't been retained from at least one of them?

Anyway, hope to see some of you down at The Vale tomorrow

No disrespect to Rossco but he surely is on the wain at 34 ? Moses again wrong side of 30 but still able. Maybe extra travel not for them , both been there worn the t shirt.

Is not Dennon at his level ? Conference National. Noticed several full backs got the better of Dennon last season.

Got the better ? What are you saying charlie.

Need... Keeps/Central defence/Forwards.

Maybe the National is Dennon's level, we'll have to see. He shone in the NLS but maybe he has a untapped beast mode and will develop further. His time before Wealdstone was unsettled as far as I can tell. As much as I would love to see him in the new 2020/21 Wealdstone shirt, I also kinda hope he gets a decent contract. The difference between £1000 a week and circa £300 for a young person is perhaps life changing. He did the business for us.

Rossco has another season in him in the National imo.

Management team will be hard at work on the outstanding positions for sure but I think will follow the modus operandi of last season's recruitment, which was a success. We must be patient, they know what they are doing.

The elephant in the room is our no 1. Will the Ox fancy a season where he gets to play each week or does he return to anonymity at Norwich?

It will all come down to what Norwich want, not the player.

The Ox is being developed and as such will play higher than he was last season. Whether Norwich feel the NL is the best place for him is their call.

Who knows, their relegation may lead to some player movement that might see the Ox move up the pecking order and stay there.

Either way I'm sure getting a goalkeeper is the least of DB's concerns, there are loads out there.

As for the rest of the squad its really too early to make any comment, a lot can and will change before the season gets under way.

now in NL a good chance to get some quality loan players in.
