Alex Dyer was 30 in June. An accomplished central midfielder. Could be a key component, even if he can't play tomorrow

Cracking signings, well done everyone. I randomly looked up Alex Dyer on Wikipedia today, been playing in Kuwait. Was a cracking midfielder with us the first time and hope he can have an influence this time around. Seems like there are two Charlie Wakefield's knocking around, anyone got any info?

Is Benyu able to play tomorrow?

Slightly happier, Benyu was one we had to get and should go some way to addressing the lack of spark in central midfield. Dyer has come out of the blue but obviously a very talented player who we know well. He spent 5/6 years in Sweden mostly in the top flight I believe and at only 30 should have plenty left in the tank. Then we have " Charlies" blue eyed boy Wakefield. Thought he looked a bit one dimensional with no end product but I'm always happy to be proved wrong.

Pleased Alex Dyer is back. A brilliant ball recycler when he was with us 10 years ago and with 10 years more experienced you'd hope he is an even better player now.

Still remember talking to him at half-time in the famous Cambridge match, as he was injured, and he said he was always going to watch the game behind the goal with the fans as opposed to on the bench or in the main stand.

A good bloke as well as a good player and its just a shame we wont be able to give him and the other new signings a proper Stones welcome.

Do we know how short term the Dyer contract is?

Alex Dyer is non contract I believe. He's back in London close to family, away from Covid restrictions and happy to be back at the Stones. Came training and was immediately signed!

Fair enough. Its says this on the website but it must just mean he may go when he feels its right to.
