Bit of dramatic license, me thinks ....

Harrogate actually got ‘assimilated’ into the newly formed NLN in 2004 as they came 5th in the Northern Premier League (NPL) Premier Division.... The Northern League (Div. 1) is now a feeder league to NPL Div 1 North West

I got confused (I easily am)
What I meant to say of course was : Harrogate just got promoted into the National last season from the National North.
A back-to-back promotion.

I don't want to be dull Doug, but Harrogate haven't earned back to back promotions as they were promoted in the summer of 2018. In their first season they reached the play-off eliminator but lost to AFC Fylde. Parks the Pedant

The subject has been discussed earlier in more isolated times under a different heading. Enclosed is a link of something I posted on 21 May 2020 but which I still stand by.

The only outstanding issue before the National League club membership saga can finally be resolved will be decided this coming Tuesday:

Will Wealdstone play against Stevenage or Macclesfield Town in the League next season? :o

Stevenage please. :ugeek:

Balls

I've longed to see us play Stevenage in a competitive game for nearly 25 years

So @WealdstoneFC won’t be playing @StevenageFC this season, it will be
@thesilkmen after a further points deduction. What a surprise!

Yes indeed. The Stevenage Chairman's long-running campaign against his team getting relegated has finally born fruit.
A shame that his team did not fight just as hard in the first place.

Oh well, Cheshire here we come...if allowed.

The fixture list will not be released until (Provisional date is September 8th) September, as they will only work them out after the Football League has done their fixtures, so as to avoid fixture clashes.
I wonder if that means our club secretary can ask for our fixtures to alternate with those of Watford and/or QPR?

Personally, I think we should ask for all our fixtures to be played Fridays or Sundays (when full crowds are allowed back).

Oh well, another Phoenix club will be playing next season in the EFL....

Macclesfield far superior day out cf to Stevenage despite the extra 150 miles to get there...

Here is a link to an interactive map of all the clubs in the National.
Taken from a link on the Twitter feed of Uncle Finger's favorite sports commentator, Olly Bayliss.

Clubs do get to request a preference of fixtures I believe, as in who they wish not to clash with and on Xmas bank holiday fixtures.

Macclesfield is more good news for me. That makes SIX relatively local matches, just hope we're allowed to go.
