Yeovil Town FC vs Wealdstone FC

Postby Royal Blue » Sat Oct 03, 2020 8:21 pm

After today's soggy debacle some good news - Yeovil will be streaming Tuesday's game FREE on their Youtube channel. Kick-off 1945. Pretty much a full National League fixture night.

https://twitter.com/YTFC/status/1312321387508436993.

Yeovil drew 2-2 today away at Kings Lynn. Their reaction to that result is here and it is 5 mins well spent imo - https://twitter.com/YTFC/status/1312470797760462850

Let's get going.

Incidentally, quite handy that Yeovil stream on the Youtube platform because many smart TVs and indeed Playstation's can download the YouTube app. Saves hooking up your phone, laptop or whatnot via a cable and adapter to watch it on a big screen.

Be nice if international clearances arrive for our new signings in time for Tues.

Forecast for Yeovil is rain - all day.

One more sleep until the big BIG day. If only there was some way to let DB, SM, wider MT and especially the players how much we care and how we will be kicking every ball with them tomorrow night.

The very best to you all.

Up the mighty Stones!

Tough ask this one.... Stevens/Benyu doubts.. plus no Dyer available.. according DB on you tube.

Yeovil keeps launches Goal kicks into the oppos Penalty areas.. plus a Lee Chappell long throw expert.

Team selection ? Does he go with the squad from last year or bring in new faces ?

Get the feeling our first 3 or so league games are going to be our virtual final pre season games! Royal Blue has raised an interesting question. Do we go for last season's team who know each others game but have not looked great pre season, or do we throw in a few who have only been brought in at the end?? I guess only DB will know whether the class of 2019-20 have been holding themselves back or whether form has genuinely been lost. Always difficult for a manager when he gets a team promoted as Champions. Does he stick with them or go with new blood?

Defence more or less picks itself I guess. Midfield and forward line very much up for grabs though.

Player update and another scoop from West London Sport. https://www.westlondonsport.com/non-lea ... wealdstone

Askew signed as goalkeeper

No Dyer tomo (no clearance yet)
No Benyu likely tomo (ankle)

Stevens injured (no further detail)

Williams gone..

Not ideal.

1-1

Not worried about Williams. Looked okay but didn't really stand out. Guess with Efete staying he's only ever going to be a squad player. Presume that Adel Gaddafi chap is likely to play at centre half if Stevens isn't fit?
