Injury update

Good morning fellas,

As I am laid up for the next week or so, I thought id give you a brief update on my ongoing injury situation. I have just had my 4th operation in the last 18 months! Not a great situation and to say it has been a tough couple of years would be an understatement. Anyway I am more determined than ever to get back on the pitch and I am assured by the surgeon that I should be in the midst of training etc towards xmas time with a target of crossing the white line in the new year. I have been keeping myself in decent shape and I am still in touch with the PFA and they are going to sort me out some more rehabilitation up at Lilleshall. I will also be in touch with GB with a view to getting some physio down at the club over the coming months.

I was humbled by all the work that went into the fundraising last year and I really appreciate all the support. I look forward to pulling on that shirt in the near future. All the best for the start of the season to all concerned with the club.

Hughesy you deserve all the luck you can. Lets say the rest of your body has had a rest. Be great to get you back fit n firing.

I echo the thoughts of Bappo and Jones G, good luck with your recovery, you have been through a hell of a lot but hopefully the worst is behind you. I too look forward to seeing u bursting the back of the net in Wealdstone blue, maroon or sky blue and white in the near future.
