Just for info, southern railways and southeastern railways not doing the cheap advanced fares at mo, but the trainline (pay a fee for posting) or first thameslink still doing them. £5 each way. Mega or Chelski please explain the myraid of train ticket fares and booking systems

'Fraid no good asking me to help untangle the complexities of modern rail fares. I'm from the old era of BR when things were simpler.

You could always try the 'lock yourself in the toilet the whole journey' trick for when the inspector calls...no doubt mr mega has come across this type of fare evasion before and might enlighten us all how long he waits. :)

Look to be plenty of £5 advance singles but only from Victoria. Trains leave at 9-47, 10-47 & 11-47 and take just over 2 hours to crawl down there. Trains back to Victoria are 5-55 and 6-55 and there are £5 advance singles on them as well. If Lee Chappell throws you down the hill you might make the 4-55.
You can pick the tickets up from the ticket machines on the day. So long as you have the card you booked them on.

What return are you "planning" to get back tho BSS? 5:55 or 6:55? Or are we considering that we may have a "Bellboy!!!!" moment with Cardew in the Sting roll at Hastings come Monday morning? :P

as you know Bananas I won't be there due to a family holiday cum scouting mission in deepest Wales. I'm sure you'll cope without me. And if anyone fulfils the Bellboy criteria it's not me is it ?
