interview says he realises his place is under threat and has brought the siituation on himself by not performing last season. Wants to stay but hasn't signed the contract offered to him by Gordon as yet as he needs to be playing first team football at his age (23) and other clubs in our division have been looking at him.

I hope he performs well enough to stay with us - two goals in 3 days will help.

You can see where he'd end up if he left can't you. Awful thought.
