Reminds me of Wealdstone V Walton and Hersham at the White Lion in about 1999.

That was the final preseason game where Walton's players felt fit to kick lumps out of ours. I think Bircham was walloped extremely late and that was that, players trading blows, the 10 or so in the kennel offering to join in etc. The referee actually threatened to abandon the game unless the managers took a number of players off.

I think this provoked something of a ding dong between the anti-swearing brigade and the kennelites on the mailing list the next day.
