Ok fair enough, we can stand in the rain, the game gets played, but drawing 10 numbers out of a hat is too difficult.

My fellow directors don`t mind their Club Secretary getting soaked, whilst they visit the Lording Room for a cuppa and to stay dry, you know

Yes I can moan as I pay, so moaning is included in the monthly debit.

Perhaps the draw could be made in the Lording Room, and lucky winners could wait outside until summoned?

Maybe this Saturday they could do both January & February to save wear and tear on the Lords shoe leather?

The draw will take place at some point.

That's as maybe, but it looks unprofessional in my opinion if we don't do things when we're supposed to!

To be fair we're not professional. We're a Ryman league club run by volunteers who do more than their share usually.

I'm sure if anyone who was that put out by the delay had volunteered to do the draw it could have been done. Personally I'm not sure why it needs to be done on the pitch at half time, if only for the fact that I lose one song from my play list but if thats when the board want it done, unless people speak up it will continue to be done then. If it pisses down with rain the draw will get delayed. That doesnt bother me but it obviously does bother some.

Aspiring to be professional is surely whats at stake here? Or are we at the mercy of those who choose to do things when it suits them?
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.
