I spent many a happy couple of hours on a Saturday morning listening to Brian Matthew and Sounds of the 60's over the years.

I'm sure the vast majority on here have no clue who he was but there may be the odd fan

Often a gem amongst a lot of tosh but spent many hours listening, and the info given by Brian about the song/artist often the highlight. My other half a big fan. Pretty grim of the beeb to get this story wrong

I've only just seen that he hasn't actually died. I did actually laugh on reading the apology. Go on, blame a member of his family at this difficult time

Oh well.

He did pass away in the end.

He was a great broadcaster
