Agree with you Attic! This was the most positive aspect of BW's reign, the gradual beefing-up of our side and the great thing about Godfrey is that not only can he tackle, he also uses the ball well and can even trick his way into dangerous areas. But I also rate Christian Smith and Simon Mensah highly. They can do the dirty yards and might even compensate for the loss of the Mighty Poku. Get a talented playmaker in and we might even forget him.
Reece Beckles Richards is highly rated apparently - generous and quick, runs into great areas - but we still need a big, awkward No9 IMO. And somebody to supply the ammo if Jeff Monakana is on his way.

Smith was certainly a valuable addition and Mensah came into his own towards the later part of the season. I wonder if Ahimdi is able to play again or even has any interest? Oshodi too. If you could say what was the best part of the BW regime it would have been the fact that our midfield were no longer bullied. Looking at how DB sets up, we will be much more open and whilst we will score plenty, we will concede a lot as well. Surprisingly we had the third best clean sheet record last season, which made up for the fact that we didn't score many.

Jeff Monakana off now too. Showed glimpses of talent. Would have got many more assists with a better forward line and will always be remember for that “limbs” moment at Bath.

Safe to assume that no more players from last season will be joining us now so a pretty extensive revamp awaits.

Poku is a loss for sure ( whatever happened to his I don't fancy National League travel? ) but life goes on.

I think Christian Smith could still be a possibility for staying with us ?

I see Kyle Connolly has left Hemel. A fairly well rated left back.

Wonder where he'll end up?

Parkes would definitely fit the bill as although plenty on here were happy to praise our robust midfield last season there was an alarming lack of creativity in there. All about getting the balance right which we didn't really manage last year.
