According to Twitter it seemed a very dominant performance, with Lafayette also hitting the post twice.

A couple of interesting names in the team being Billy Clifford and Sanchez Watt, both that have Billericay and Hemel on their CV.

Very impressive. Apart from a little 10 min spell after we changed four players on the hour, stones controlled the game and pulled a very hardworking Hitchin side all over the pitch with Clifford, Green and Connor smith running the show. Dennon Lewis pacy and dangerous on the left and Beckles Roberts a ball of fire on the right, and Ross really leading the line, strong, powerful and really good feet. His two headed goals were something we’ve been missing for years.
Apart from Ross hitting the post twice, Nick arnold struck the bar from 25 yards and the keeper pulled off half a dozen stonking saves. Looking good!

A bit of a mixed side today but some very positive signs all the same. As mentioned Lafayette was very impressive, strong in the air with a good touch and pretty mobile too. Thats something we've definitely missed since the Jefferson Louis days, someone who really leads the line. Plenty of pace as well, so a more dynamic look to the team this year. Good signs, with plenty of quality to come in too although I differ a bit on Tim's assessment of Smith who I thought looked a bit sluggish today but of course its early days.

The keeper today is an interesting one, Theo Richardson could be another Northy. He started at Leeds academy where he was well thought of but tried his luck at Man Utd but couldn't command a 1st choice in the under 23s. QPR and Birmingham looked at him but ended up dropping down to Cleethorpe Town and Grantham Town. I'm guessing his lack of stature, like North, has hampered his career.

Hard to judge the keeper as he literally had nothing to do apart from a couple of catches. No chance with the 2nd goal but there was a lack of communication with Nick arnold for the first. Kicking and throwing was sound but he looks no more than 5ft 9 or 10 to me which is a handicap. Northy’s overcome it through agility and experience but he’s a rare beast.

Enjoyed this afternoon. Was a welcome return to attacking football and players playing with a bit more freedom. Some good individual performances out there today from established, newly signed and trial players. Of course its nice to see a bit more entertainment and prowess up front but ultimately this team will be judged in those games where the pitch is heavy, the tackles are flying in and the opposition are pressing hard. Agree with the assessment on Lafeyette. Looks quality. Still has some pace, strong and a real threat in the air. When did a Wealdstone forward score two headers in a game friendly or otherwise?
