I have asked Colin if he has any photos of our 1998 promotion, as I can't recall seeing those for a very long time.

Would be good if someone who knows their aperture from their shutter speed can put together a compilation of photos from our promotion seasons in 1997, 1998, the blazer denied 1999, 2004, 2014 and 2020.

Really enjoy this addition to the website which features our old programmes, being a sentimental old fool I love the way everyone has kept the tradition going of supporters club notes, it features all the way through from 1961 to the present day in a very similar format. Long may it continue!

In the Dartford programme of August 1984 there is the mention of the passing of a Mr C Wiggins. Was he any relation to Ken Wiggins who passed away about 11-12 years ago?

Any chance of putting issues of Long Ball Down The Middle on the site? My username is a tribute to the popular feature Sausage of the Season

A good question....

Thus far I have not resorted to putting much on this website produced by the 'fans' (save for a number of Elmslie Ender Memorable Matches & Glorious Derby Day Reports) as the content was until the start of the 2018/19 season an integral part of the Official Club website.

What do others think - Should copies of 'LBDTM' - a Supporters Club publication- now be added?

We should show how woke we are by publishing LGBDTM.

Now the Supporters Club have their website up and running perhaps LBDTM is something for their archive?

I recently asked if anyone on the Conference Nomads forum knew what the history & beginnings of their site was, and one of the site administrators replyed.
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/confere ... t1754.html

Which got me wondering about our own web presence.
I know we were one of the first non-league clubs to set up a website, but when was that and who was involved?
It all seems so long ago now in the mists of time, I think Terry (dog) may well have been involved.
Our mailing list I believe predates the forum and the official website...

Although we have an excellent history section on the main website, perhaps a few words on the history of Wealdstone on the web would be of interest to some of our expanding fanbase and future historians, before the persons involved all die off of old age. :o :o :o
"..You love bloody Weadstone more than you love me.." answer: YES.

Wow! Interesting to note in the 1973 programme for Stones away game at Tottenham in their London Senior Cup game that there was an advert for their up and coming EUFA game against Grasshoppers Zurich and seat tickets were 1 pound and ground admission was 45p and juveniles 20p!
In another programme against Arsenal in the same competition there was an article written by Colin Pope, the Stones media man of the time saying that Lower Mead's capacity was 18,000. I know the record was something like 13,000 but that's a lot more. Amazed it could hold that many. Is there a photo anywhere showing that record crowd? Believe it was against Leyton Orient.
