Wealdstone F.C. Squad 2009-10

GORDON BARTLETT - Manager
Date of Birth: 03/12/1955 - Joined Wealdstone in June 1995 having previously had successful spells as manager of Yeading, Hounslow Town and Southall. He is an A' licence holder, F.A. tutor assessor and a Middlesex County coach. Gordon is a school teacher and he was a player with Portsmouth, Denver Dynamos (USA), Brentford, Slough and Hayes. He took Hounslow Town to promotion and League Cup success. He led both Southall and Yeading to FA Vase finals at Wembley and also gained two promotions as well as four County Cup finals with Yeading. Since joining Wealdstone, Gordon has guided us to four promotions and the winning of the Middlesex Charity Cup Final in 2004.
LEO MORRIS - Assistant Manager
Joined Wealdstone a few days after Gordon, thereby continuing a partnership that has lasted over ten years at Yeading and Hounslow. Leo led Yeading out when they won the replayed 1990 FA Vase Final at Elland Road, Leeds. Spent 20 years at Hounslow as player, manager and assistant manager.

SAM BEAGLE - Goalkeeper
Debut: Home v Sutton United, Ryman Premier League, 31 August 2009
Age 19. Signed Ryman League forms for Wealdstone in August 2009 with his previous club being Cambridge United.

SEAN THOMAS - Goalkeeper
Debut: Home v Margate, Ryman Premier League, 25 August 2007
Date of Birth: 05/09/1986 - First joined the Stones on loan from Queens Park Rangers. He signed a two-year professional contract with QPR midway through the 2005/06 season but with opportunities scarce during that season, he spent time on loan at Bristol City during the 2006/07. He made 14 first team appearances for us before being injured at Tonbridge in November 2007 and missed the rest of the season. Having been released by QPR he rejoined us in August 2008.

LUKE WOODS - Goalkeeper
Debut: Home v Burnham, FA Cup, 08 October 2005
Date of Birth: 26/08/1986 - Has had two spells with the Stones having made nine first team appearances between October and December 2005. First joined us in August 2005 and made his first team debut on 8 October 2005 in the 4-2 defeat at home to Burnham in the F.A. Cup. He had a short loan spell with Hertford Town before eventually leaving us to join Ware. Rejoined us in July 2008 from the Hertfordshire club. Has also represented Malta at Under 21 level. At the end of January 2009, Luke signed for BGB Premier side Hitchin Town on a dual registration. At the time, Stones other keeper, Sean Thomas was in outstanding form and Luke felt he needed regular first team football and the move suited all three parties.

LEE CHAPPELL - Defender
Debut: Away v Chelmsford City, Ryman Premier League, 27 August 2005
Date of Birth: 12/10/1985 - Now in his second spell with the Stones having rejoined us in September 2006 after playing a few games for Ware. First joined us in August 2005 from Cheshunt but left us at the end of that season.

KEN DURING - Defender
Debut: Away v Arlesey Town, FA Cup, 12 September 2009
Age 24. Signed Ryman League forms for us in July 2009 after impressing in several pre-season outings. Was at Cove FC last season and was previously at AFC Wimbledon. Made his first team debut as a substitute on 12 September 2009 in the 2-1 win at Arlesey Town in the F.A. Cup.

ROB FITZGERALD - Defender
Debut: Away v Billericay Town, Ryman Premier League, 15 August 2009
Age 20. Joined Wealdstone in August 2009 having been released by Yeovil Town three months earlier. Spells with Enfield Town and Hillingdon Borough had previously earned him a move to the League One side.

JAMES GRAY - Defender
Debut: Home v Leighton Town, FA Trophy, 23 October 2007
Age 29. A former Sheffield Wednesday utility player who signed for the Stones in July 2007. Lists Rotherham United, Lincoln United, Worksop Town, Sheffield FC, Harpenden Town, Barton Rovers and Arlesey Town as former clubs.

GARRY JONES - Defender
Debut: Home v Hillingdon Borough, Middx Charity Cup, 20 February 2008
Age 18. A skilful left back who is a product of our Youth system. Garry made his first team debut for the Stones on 20 February 2008 in the 0-2 defeat at home to Hillingdon Borough in the Middlesex Charity Cup. Last season was his second playing for our reserves but he is now part of our first team squad.

DARREN LOCKE - Defender
Debut: Home v Staines Town, Ryman Premier League, 28 October 2008
Darren, a tall centre half joined the Stones in July 2008. He made his first team debut for the Stones on 28th October 2008 in the 4-3 home win against Staines Town in the Ryman Premier League, after some impressive performances for the Reserves. In June 2009, after being one of last seasons most improved players, he was rewarded with a contract.

CARL MARTIN - Defender
Debut: Home v Hampton & Richmond Boro, Ryman Premier League, 11 January 2005
Date of Birth: 24/10/1986 - Previously a member of the successful Stones scholarship set-up who has since progressed to the first team. He made his first team debut in 2005 but missed most of the 2005-06 season though injury but has been a more regular member of the side during the last two seasons. Was on trial at League Two side, Crewe Alexandra but after first deciding not to award him a contract, they then decided to sign him and Carl signed for Crewe at the beginning of October 2009 and thus Carl left the Stones after 5years with the club.

ALAN MASSEY - Defender
Debut: Away v Folkestone Invicta, Ryman Premier League, 18 August 2007
Date of Birth: 11/01/1989 - This popular and talented centre-back, joined the Stones on loan from Wycombe Wanderers in August 2007 and played in 23 first team matches, scoring 2 goals, before being recalled by the Football League Club in November 2007. He rejoined us in July 2008 after Wycombe decided to release him. Was the Supporters Player of the Season last season.

MARVIN McCOY - Defender
Debut: Home v Tonbridge Angels, Ryman Premier League, 16 August 2008
Aged 20. A pacy full back who signed for the Stones in August 2008. Was a youth player at Leyton FC before going on to enjoy spells at Arsenal and Watford before returning to the east London club in January 2008.

RYAN ASHE - Midfield
Debut: Away v Folkestone Invicta, Ryman Premier League, 18 August 2007
Date of Birth: 15/11/1979. Joined the Stones from Hayes in August 2007. He is a tenacious and hard-working player who was a pivotal player for the Stones particularly in the 2007-08 season when he was named club player of the year winning the Supporters Club's prestigious Jock Law Trophy. His previous clubs include Chertsey Town, Northwood, Maidenhead United, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Leyton.

CALUM BOTHAM - Midfield

MARK E'BEYER - Midfield
Debut: Home v Tooting & Mitcham United, Ryman Premier League, 18 August 2009
Age 20. Signed for Wealdstone in August 2009 from Hitchin Town having joined them from Wivenhoe Town in November 2008. Has also been with Cambridge City, Oxford City, Stevenage Borough and MK Dons.

KIERON FORBES - Midfield
Debut: Away v Ashford Town (Middx), Ryman Premier League, 19 August 2008
Date of Birth: 17/08/1990 - Joined the Stones in August 2008 having been released by Championship side Watford FC. He was part of the Hornets Academy set-up and reserves and made one first team appearance as a substitute in the 3-0 Carling Cup win at home to Gillingham in August 2007.

CHRIS O'LEARY - Midfield
Debut: Away v Mangotsfield United, Southern League Premier Division, 19 August 2006
Date of Birth: 09/09/1984 - Joined the club in June 2006 from Uxbridge where he made over 100 first team appearances. He was voted the Stones 'Player of the Season' for season 2006-07 by the Stones fans to add to him being named the Uxbridge 'Player of the Season' for the previous two seasons.

DEREK QUAYE - Midfield
Debut: Home v Hillingdon Borough, Middlesex Charity Cup, 20 February 2008
Age 20. A product of our youth scheme, he made his first team debut in February 2008 against Hillingdon Borough in the Middlesex Charity Cup.

DANNY SPENDLOVE - Midfield
Debut: Away v Horsham, Ryman Premier League, 19 November 2008
Age 25. Stones manager Gordon Bartlett finally got his man when he signed the young midfielder in November 2008 from Cambridge City. Bartlett thought that he had signed Spendlove during the previous summer from Ware but the former Tottenham Junior decided to opt for plying his trade at the Milton Road Club. His opportunities for first team football had become limited at City and he decided to move to The Vale. Danny made 11 appearances at City (6 as substitute) and he scored 3 goals. He made his first team debut for the Stones as a substitute in the 2-0 win at Horsham on 19 November 2008.

BEN ALEXANDER - Forward
Debut: Home v Leatherhead, Ryman League Division 1, 03 April 2001
Date of Birth: 12/01/1984 - Made his first team debut for the Stones in April 2001 but has played irregularly since then, mainly due to injuries and a spell with Watford's youth team. Made just three appearances at the end of the 2005/06 season and missed the whole of the following season when we were in the Southern League.

CHRIS ELLERBECK - Forward
Debut: Home v Bognor Regis Town, Ryman Premier League, 19 September 2009
Age 24. Signed Ryman League forms for us in September 2009. Previously with Waltham Abbey. He has also played for Ware and Harlow Town.

STEPHEN HUGHES - Forward
Debut: Away v Folkestone Invicta, Ryman Premier League, 18 August 2007
Age 24. This tall, combative striker, who can also play on the left-wing, joined the Stones from Maidenhead United on the eve of the 2007-08 season. He began his career as a junior at Brentford, where he made a handful of senior appearances and has since played for Basingstoke Town, Welling United, Farnborough Town, Cambridge City and Braintree Town. In his first season for the Stones he made 44 first team appearances and scored 14 goals, 4 of which were penalties. Suffered an injury which ruled him out for most of the 2008-09 season. Then in a pre-season friendly at Beaconsfield in August 2009, Steve broke down again when he sustained a cruciate ligament tear which will probably rule him out for the whole of the current season.

ROSS LAFAYETTE - Forward
Debut: Home v Sutton United, Ryman Premier League, 31 August 2009
Signed Ryman League forms for us in July 2009 having previously been with Aylesbury United. Scored our winning goal when we beat Leeds United 2-1 in a friendly earlier this season.

CALLUM MARTIN - Forward
Debut: Away v Kingsbury Town, Ryman League Cup, 28 October 2003
Date of Birth: 24/10/1986 - Started along with his twin brother, Carl in the Stones youth team several seasons ago. Made his first team debut as a substitute in the 8-0 win at Kingsbury in the Isthmian League Cup on 28 October 2003. A serious injury then sidelined him for nearly three seasons before resuming his playing career with our reserves at the start of the current season. Signed Premier League forms for us on 31 August 2008 and played twice for the first team last season before being injured again and did not play for thr rest of last season.

CHARLIE MPI - Forward
Debut: Away v Billericay Town, Ryman Premier League, 15 August 2009
Age 22. Signed Ryman League forms for us in August 2009. Previously with Loughborough University FC. Scorer of three goals in our pre-season friendlies.

GREG NGOYI - Forward
Debut: Home v Metropolitan Police, Ryman League Cup, 02 December 2008
Age 21. Joined us from Leyton in November 2008. Was Edgware Town's top goalscorer in the 2007-08 season with 18 goals in league and cup matches. Previously had spells at Ashford Town (Middx), Northampton Town and Aylesbury United. Made his first team debut for the Stones on 2 December 2008 and scored two goals in the 5-2 home win against Metropolitan Police in the Ryman League Cup. Greg was our joint leading goalscorer last season with 18 goals.

Jamie OSBORNE - Forward
Debut: Away v Billericay Town, Ryman Premier League, 15 August 2009
Age 18. A former member of the Wycombe youth scheme and Stevenage Academy he joined Arlesey Town at the end of the 2007/08 season. Signed Ryman League forms for Wealdstone in August 2009. Scored three goals during our pre-season friendlies. Currently out on loan to Arlesey Town for three matches.
