Usual crap. We haven’t got a clue. Can’t pass the ball, can’t control the ball, can’t read the game. Might win the odd game if we had a manager who had some idea on how to set a team up. How in gods name have the board given him next season? Beggars belief.

Considering how low we've let standards slip recently, this was a more palatable defeat against the Shots. No capitulation or abdication of responsibilities. A modicum of pride restored. It's probably fair to say though that we were still second best by a considerable margin and can thank young Askew for keeping the scoreline down with some great saves. Mind you we did have a guilt edged chance at 0-1 with only minutes left which we possibly should have buried.

Not sure why Everton and Parish weren't on sooner though.

Whilst it's clear we're miles from where we need to be, standards were at the very least restored today. Is the club up to the challenge of getting us up to scratch?

Getting up to scratch Attic depends surely on money money money.

Any Positives ? Fans continually working to improve the spectator experience for next season.. as we go again.

Barnet change their manager. Same players and they are turning things around. We just happy to keep losing. Nothing gonna change next season is it.

A much better, committed performance with no-one coming out of their shape and even offering a threat on the break through Lewis and Mendy. Shots deserved the win because they had greater physicality and a match winner in Joel Nouble - the man who undid us at The Vale in January- but we were in the game until the final seconds of injury time, so a lot to be proud about. MoM was between Jake Askew and michael phillips I thought, who showed a much better attitude, but the pundit (ex player Terry someone, looked familiar) had it right when he said we needed more legs in midfield.
Well, we know we need in addition to that but it will all have to wait.

Sorry Tim , nothing to be proud about in losing 2 nil. Not sure about needing more legs either. We need a complete overhaul, including the manager, for next season.

For f**k sake get a brain you can't keep blaming the manager for performances at the moment, when the playing
squad is down to 14 plus 2 academy lads and there is nothing to play for. He didn't sign these players, and at least he got a more committed performance. we should have come away with a draw.
Dennon Lewis should have scored a couple, at this level you can't get away with missing chances, that is down to the player not the manager. There is nothing the manager can do if the players aren't good enough.
Also while other teams added players before the transfer deadline we are so broke we couldn't. If there is a 100 of you with £5000 each to put into next years budget that might help.
Give the bloke a chance during pre season then if results are the same at the start of the new season then by all means scream for his head.

Done again by some terrible defending for the 1st goal, let's hope Olowu learns quickly. Jake in goal had an excellent game to keep us in it.

Were you not on the zoom call with the chairman, even he said that Stuart was having to manage the side at present with one hand tied behind his back.

The board and management understand the situation and have tried to explain it in the last to meetings, it has been articulated in interviews. The fact is that there has been no money for incoming players and any additions have to be at zero or minimal expenses.

All this calling for the managers head is embarrassing, our target was to avoid relegation, that has been achieved by a league vote. It would probably been achieved on the pitch if we had to fight for it, but their is no point in judging anything be it managers or players other than on their attitude and effort.

There are players that may have been on the retained list that may well play themselves out of a contract next year, when they have an opportunity to earn one. The management know our weaknesses but are unable to get the right bodies in at this time.

Opinions, opinions opinions.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

How the 'silent majority' are thinking is open to debate though. The assumption that they are all behind the manager, or are already planning for change is anyone's guess though.

We desperately need SM and MS to succeed though. We'll only get one chance at this next season. Fall behind early and chances of recovery will be low. We just won't have the spending power to correct a poor start.
