Appears an astute signing.

He's got a little bit of stubble. Needs to work on a proper beard.
I got a colour TV, so I can see, The Knicks play basketball!

Thats exactly the type of player we should be signing and hopefully sets the benchmark for the rest of the Summer. We can't afford to gamble next season. We need players tried and tested at NL level minimum ( not players who have played at the level but been bombed out ). And the same with injury prone players, no use to us.

Yep. We need to be signing another 6 or 7 like this really. Players who have plied their trade at the lower end of the NL but have generally kept their head above water at that level. Add in 3 or 4 of the better retained players plus some canny loanees and we might just have a fair crack of survival next season

James Comley has left Maidenhead. Still rated at this level. No doubt Barnet and Woking will be interested although maybe he's another seeking part time football??

Has he been released ? How old is he now ? Who rates him at this level ? seems a bit of a contradiction if he's been let go by Maidenhead.

2-3 years ago I would have said yes but its a big mistake if you go for players on the way down.

With our budget we can't afford to take too many chances on players.

VFM is the name of the game.

Aged 30 so law of averages would suggest a couple of years left as a midfield action man type. I guess compliments from fans, (unless universal like Cook) should always be viewed cautiously given some of our own fans history of praising the mediocre. Gut feeling is he's still decent.

Likely I'd say he signs for someone like Dorking.

VFM is the name of the game and will also mitigate/prevent having 43+ players come through the club like last season. Perhaps Comley would sign for Dorking and shine but perhaps we are onto something here with Wealdstone offering full pro level football albeit on a part-time basis. So for the odd - quality, ‘been there done it’ 30 year old that would be an attraction whilst they line up other income streams for their future..

Am I right in thinking we are the last genuinely part-time setup in the National League now?
