Official Wealdstone match preview:

"Realistically we are thin and down to bare bones and the lads are dead on their feet, there's nothing we can do, it's not that they're giving up or 'throwing the towel in' at all, they are giving everything for the club and don't have any more left. You look at other clubs and they can change it, we don't have that luxury so we have to keep going with the lads, we will keep working hard as a group, we will keep going collectively and we will give our all for the football club from now until the end of the season."

'When asked about Wealdstone’s defensive record, Sarll said, “We need to shoot a lot!'

It is May already, the last month of the season thank goodness.
This is the first of seven fixtures left.

The Stones have managed just one win and one draw in the last ten fixtures.
Six of those games have been not only pointless, but zero goals scored by the Stones either.
We have conceded an awful twenty-nine goals, but on the plus side have scored ten in a total of four games. :(

Not very good statistics to be honest.
Fingers crossed though.
Go on Wealdstone, give it your best shot.

A reminder that there will be no media coverage via social media (I.E. No official match tweets)
Perhaps that is a good thing.

Deadly Optimism.

For a team that was recently EFL, Yeovil have had a very poor season. In fact, had they not had a recent run of form (winning 3 out of their last 4) they'd be around us.

What's in it for us? Almost nothing.. A chance to watch a couple of players and no injuries to players we are or hope to - keep.

Dead fixture sadly.

Re: Yeovil 01/05/2021 0-2 after 23 mins

0-2 after 23 minutes.
For the second goal the Yeovil players were lining up to take pot shots at the Wealdstone goal and one went in after about 5 attempts.
The Stones have been conceding loads of free kicks while Yeovil commit just as many fouls but are craftier and not getting as many bookings.
Poor first half.

Half time. 0-2.
55 mins Poor ref ignores a definite pen for the Stones. He has given several poor decisions, most against Wealdstone. He is easily fooled unfortunately
2 good saves by Jake Askew followed.
A free kick just outside the box, followed by 2 corners for the Stones. 59 mins.
Followed by 2 Yeovil corners.
And scrappy end to end play.
20 to go, we use our last sub.
76 mins Stones have 2 shots at goal, the first of the game.
Another chance 79 mins.
Stones free kick leads to rush towards Stones goal.
81 mins ref ignores appeal for Stones free kick.
Stones looking tired and leggy say the commentators 84 mins.
88 mins great attacking move. Unfortunately no final result.
3 added minutes.
Much better 2nd half.

Full Time.

Edit: I get the feed as part of my season ticket, I feel obliged to watch.

I can understand your confusion. The BBC website was showing both Barrow and Southend with wins in their game at one point.
Southend won, they might yet wriggle out, though for our away trip plans, hopefully not

Ah yes, other results saw to that I see now.

'Southend have been relegated from the Football League for the first time in 101 years despite winning at Barrow.

The Shrimpers needed to win and for one of Colchester and Scunthorpe to lose to stand a chance of staying up.

And although Phil Brown's side did all they could, victory for the U's and a draw for the Iron sealed their fate.

Goals from John White and Terrell Egbri were enough to win the game for Southend after Scott Quigley had coolly fired Barrow in front.'

You watched it charlie! ..Live Stream Yes ....thought Olowu played well at centre back. LO-Everton showing glimpses of class.

Nice comment from Mr Parks... "Stones scored 7 to put a dent in Hartlepools Win! " .... Age playing havoc with memory.

Button down the hatches.... away Stockport Monday Bank Holiday.

Competed out there today. Yeovil the better side no doubt and it took two poor pieces of defending to give them the goals. The gap between us and the majority of the NL sides occasionally so near yet generally so far.

As the focus will rightly shift towards next season we need to be absolutely straight with ourselves where we need to improve. Physicality physicality physicality. Being able to play of course a bonus but we are in denial if we think otherwise.

I see Kings Lynn (apparently who have furloughed en masse?) managed a draw with the same Maidenhead that put ten past us overall. Standards. Can we make the transition from the plucky social club with a team (most CS clubs) to being a regular fixture in the NL?

Good luck to Stuart and Matty. Gonna need it!
